Where we usually find plastic and rubber, in Revo’s BLOK we’re spoiled with a choice of American walnut or black oak veneer. Sounds like we’re choosing a chest of drawers rather than a speaker dock but Revo say it’s not just for looks. The top quality wood improves audio quality as well as giving it that classy air.
The luxury continues inside. Instead of a cone drive unit, the BLOK has NXT’s Balanced Radiator driver technology powered by 40W of Class D amplification. For the hi-fi rookies, that means the BLOK wouldn’t even acknowledge your standard iPod dock in public.
Finished off with an aluminium trim, Revo’s BLOK wouldn’t look amiss in a country style kitchen, which is why it’s probably available exclusively through John Lewis. It’s also just off £200 so better start saving those vouchers from Gran.
