Pure Fix Kilo glow-in-the-dark bike unveiled
Night riders, your knight in glowing armour has arrived to keep you safe

Pure Fix’s Kilo glow-in-the-dark bike is brilliant. Why has this never been done before? Pure Fix, an American company, has been working for months on creating the perfect paint that absorbs light during the day and glows brightly at night – the result is Kilo.
Kilo is a steel framed hybrid bike series that can be run as geared or a fix wheel machine, both looking great. You can opt for having the frame or the wheels painted in the glowing paint for brilliant night ride visibility. Why you can’t have both painted is probably cost related, but we’d prefer to have the option at least. Since Kilo is part of a new series we may be able to look forward to a carbon race version, fully glowed-up, soon.
Get a Kilo from US$400 (£250) at Pure Fix. Add that to your 10 best bike lights and cycle safety gear and you’ll be virtually indestructible.
