We've already seen the PS3 doing a pretty good impression of a Sky+ box using a USB TV tuner, a few software hacks and the open source Myth TV app.Now Sony's confirmed that it'll be bringing out its own much-rumoured TV tuner that'll hopefully need a little less knowledge of the finer workings of Linux to install.The news has come from Down Under where Warwick Light, of Sony Computer Entertainment New Zealand let slip to Christchurch daily, The Press, that it's hoping to ‘release a digital tuner for the PS3, turning it into a programmable TV recorder.’ Woo!Monsieur Light timed its Kiwi arrival as next year, to coincide with the NZ version of Freeview.
