Latest figures from the US show price-cutting there has seen sales leap by around 250 per cent in the week ending 11 November, compared to weeks before the October price snip and launch of the new 40GB model.In Japan, a traditional Nintendo stronghold, it's the same story with the PS3 finally managing to outsell the mighty Wii to the tune of over 20,000 consoles in the last week.That might just have something to do with the global shortage of the Nintendo consoles, making them harder to get hold of than a unicorn’s toothbrush. Sony CEO, Howard Stringer admits as much, stating: ‘It's a little fortuitous that the Wii is running out of hardware.’Now, what about some decent new games in time for Christmas?
