As petrol-headed teenagers we once dreamed of owning a Porsche. But as our lives spiraled into adulthood the dream faded and we've settled for this Etón Porsche Design P'9113 crank radio instead.
No matter though, because as radios go it's a long way from the hearing aid beige of a standard kitchen wireless. OK, there's no DAB but just look at that gun-metal finish and industrial-looking dial.
It's all very much unconfirmed right now but our mole deep in Porsche Design territory has reported back to say the P'9113 will also pack a built-in dynamo phone charger, triple LED torch and the must-have feature for radios in 2008, an emergency siren.
Something called dual conversion super-heterodyne technology is also on-board. We've no idea what it means or does, but if it makes The Archers and Desert Island Discs sound crystal clear, who are we to complain?
