We've finally got a release date for the first of Polaroid's Zink, 'inkless technology' products.
Binning the print cartridge for good, the newly named PoGo (Polaroid to Go) is the 21st century version of the Polaroid camera of old.
Out go nasty chemicals and exorbitantly expensive snaps, in comes a diddy printer loaded with Zink paper that'll spit out mini 2x3in snaps in less than a minute, either beamed from a Bluetooth mobile or transferred by USB.
At £3 for ten prints it's not cheap, but that's still around a third of the cost of Polaroid film. And keep a charger at hand; the battery burns out after 15 prints.
It lands in May, with tasteful orange and pink versions arriving in time for Christmas. Hint: we'll have the black and silver model if you're wrapping one up for us.
On sale: May
