For those of us who already enjoy prematurely arthritic wrists from excessive Atari sessions in the 1980s, the re-appearance of the classic wrist-pummelling joystick - this time in light-up neon blue - is a bittersweet moment.
On the one hand, it brings back fond memories of frantic Frogger sessions as we fried our retinas four inches away from a Sony Trinitron. On the other hand. well, we can't use that hand anymore. Why do they make doorknobs so damn twisty?
Younger gamers, of course, will flock to the USB Classic Joystick, with its 5-foot cable, removable MAME game controller and CD-ROM packed with the Stella Atari 2600 emulator and over 80 games, including Pacman 4K, Seawolf, Soccer, Ladybug, and Invaders Plus.
For some reason, the joystick already ships with a "numbered certificate of authenticity". It might be worth keeping this to show to your orthopaedic surgeon during the discovery phase of the class action suit.
It's available now for $30 from reflexaudio.
