It seems that Palm is preparing to bring its Pre Plus and Pixi Plus handsets to Europe, after two Palm handsets were approved by the Global Certification Forum.

Although they were only identified by code names, a bit of research seems to point to the fact these will indeed be the two handsets that launched in America in January.

The Pre Plus and Pixi Plus were passed for AT&T's network in America by the FCC (America's answer to the GCF) under the code names of P101UNA and P121UNA.

The handsets that have cropped up on the GCF are the rather similarly-named P101UEU and P121UEU – where we'd expect that NA of the former to stand for North America, and EU to mean Europe.

The GCF test handsets for the Europeans market and the fact they've been approved means that Palm is clear to launch them whenever they see fit.

Palm has made no announcements about the handsets launching in the UK, but from this we'd expect we'll hear an announcement shortly.

In the meantime be sure to check out our reviews of the original Pre and Pixi, to see where their successors need to improve.
