Top up £10 a month and Orange Monkey will give you access to a website full of tracks from Universal Music and let you dial 247 to listen to them on the go. Lo-tech but low cost too.
The service is a collaboration between Orange, Universal and Channel 4 (who are adding interviews and features to the website). It's a great idea if you don't have the cash to plump for a sumptuous smartphone.
The downside is that all that listening will tie up your phone line. Plus Orange hasn't managed to nab any of the other labels yet. Still, if Spotify Premium is too expensive for you, is Orange Monkey tempting?
