He played Sid Vicious in Sid and Nancy, in Leon he was a drug-addled corrupt DEA officer, and the kids of today will know him as Sirius Black from the Harry Potter movies. Gary Oldman’s certainly not short of a good movie or two.

His latest venture is a short film called Donut, shot on a Nokia N93 in order to big up Nokia’s new internet video community Nseries Studio, and to show off the movie-making capabilities of the phone. The site will let Nseries users upload their own movies either from a PC or mobile.

So how did Gary choose to go about showcasing the DVD-like recording powers of the N93? He filmed a puddle and set it to music. Or as Nokia describes it ‘a two minute short featuring a round reflection in rippling water set to a haunting soundtrack.’ Did someone say pretentious?

We’ll leave you to decide which description is more accurate. Watch it for yourself via the link below.
