O2 and its long term handset partner HTC may have fallen out of love but it doesn't mark the end of the Xda brand. Instead the big blue network's jumped into bed with that other consummate phone maker, Asus.And if the first fruits of this new joint labours are anything to go by, long may the relationship continue. It's spawned O2's first 3G smartphone, the Xda Graphite.Looks-wise it's unremarkable, other than having had more than a lick of the Nokia brush with that 3250 style nipple, but there's definitely something of the Sony Ericsson about it too.Despite that it packs Windows Mobile 5.0. The execs it's aimed at will note the on-board Wi-Fi, MS Office viewer and push email. We'll also take the 2MP camera and usual Microsoft Media Player accoutrements.You'll find it in O2 stores now – making evils at the HTC made Xdas.
