Back when rumours first surfaced that iPhone would be making its UK home at O2, the blue network put out a flat denial that it had secured the coveted prize. But now its Chief Executive, Peter Erskine, has been telling the Independent that it's "excited about this product" and it "hopes to be marketing it later in the year when it launches."Sounds like a pretty big hint to us. It's also fairly conclusive evidence that the UK is one of the 'major European markets' that Apple says will be getting the iPhone this year - Germany and France are thought to be the only other two but nothing's been made official.Meanwhile, after yesterday's discovery of a hidden 'coming soon' page on Carphone Warehouse's site, someone else has also discovered a listing (now swiftly removed) for the iPhone on T-Mobile's German website.Looks like everyone's gearing up for some sort of announcement soon. Hear that Apple? Soon.EssentialsApple iPhonePrice: £TBAOn sale: TBAContact: AppleRelated stories:Carphone Warehouse to be iPhone Warehouse? The Stuff guide to the iPhoneHas O2 bagged the iPhone?
