Just because it’s getting harassed by lawsuits, doesn’t mean Blackberry’s stopped churning out portable e-mailers – O2 has brought its latest update to the 7100 to the UK.
Rather than offering the full QWERTY keypad from the classic original, the 7130g takes the opinion-splitting ‘two characters per button’ approach sported by the 7100.
It’s still a 2.5G device, but adds some of the handy updates from the 8700g: a QVGA display, a speedy 312Mhz processor and Bluetooth 2.0 for wireless headphones.
There is, of course, the usual push e-mail functionality, which gives you access to your messages the minute they hit your inbox, and a decent 64MB memory.
You can place pre-orders for the 7130g now in O2 shops and soon from its website, or you can wait until 1st July when it’ll be available for free on contract.
