NTL Telewest and Channel 4 have signed a new deal that gives the 2.8 million subscribers to NTL’s digital TV service the ability to catch up on the latest Channel 4 happenings with a seven-day catch-up service. Most of Channel 4’s prime entertainment rib will be on the menu, letting viewers dip into a rack of Hollyoaks, followed by a tasty desert of Shameless. Tongues of funThe three-year contract begins today and content will be refreshed on a regular basis, with programming available on-demand. Imagine Jamie’s School Dinners while mashed out of your box at 3am on a Saturday morning. Priceless.Naturally, pausing, rewinding and forward-winding of on-demand content is perfectly permissible, as is repeatedly hitting pause until you find a frame where Jamie Oliver looks like he’s swallowing his own tongue. And then laughing.We’ll all be tuning in to Channel 4 at 11.05 this evening in any case, for no other reason than to catch Man to Man with Dean Learner (pictured above). We’ll put money on it being an absolute doozy.
