Nokia’s highly-anticipated re-launch of its mobile gaming service N-Gage has been put on hold. The Finnish mobile mastermind is still testing the software. “The problems are only in the software testing phase, it’s not an issue,” Nokia’s Andrew Connell told Stuff.tv. “It’s taken two weeks longer than we suspected. We want the quality to be right, that’s very important to us.” The original N-Gage was a handset that sort of resembled a handheld games console, but was also a phone. There were games, some even by major games developers like Sega. But it didn’t stick, so it wasn’t to be.The new N-Gage will be more software focused. A number of Nokia handsets will be able to play the games, with more on the way. The games themselves are said to be a big step forward from the original N-Gage psudo-3D titles of old.Just two weeks though? We’re off to play some multiplayer DS games while we wait. EssentialsRoerts robiPrice: £50On sale: NovemberContact: RobertsRelated stories:Review: Nokia N-Gage QDNews: N-Gage spreads its wingsNews: Nokia to bring back N-Gage
