Not happy to merely wear the Nokia label on the Parisian streets, the Finn’s rotating 7373 has walked into the changing rooms and emerged transformed. It's all thanks to designer Giambattista Valli. She's been enlisted to turn her attentions from supplying Posh Spice with frocks and handbags to dressing Nokia mobiles instead. So sashaying down the Paris catwalk and swirling its pearls this season is the pink 7373 now bedecked with gold bracelet charms and a matching pink bag.The burping, crotch-scratching male version isn't left behind. He's had his nails filed and buffed, his skin toned and his locks coiffured to emerge with a black-bowed manbag, black and gold strap, and golden skull and crossbones charm. As if to prove the pair's fashion status the press release contains the obligatory quotes from the designer. That means we get a comparison between Nokia mobiles and handbags - because you can ‘swap bags and transfer the contents’ in the same way you swap SIM cards, a similarity that Valli calls ‘amazing’ - quite. There's more where that came from with behind-the-scenes videos of Valli pre-loaded on each phone, as well as designer wallpapers, graphics and the all important exclusive ringtone. The whole caboodle gets its debut at Paris Fashion Week during the champagne fuelled ‘Dress your Nokia in Giambattista Valli’ party. Fashion mortals who don't find one in their goody bags as they leave can buy one from next month.
