NPD data that tracks console sales in America has shown that combined sales for the DS and DSi reached 766,500 units in June alone.
Compare that to Xbox 360 and PS3 sales of 240,600 and 164,700 respectively, and PSP and PlayStation 2 sales of 163,500 and 152,700, and you've got a combined total of 721,500.
Enough with the numbers – we'll say we're impressed. We aren't, however, impressed with Nintendo's maths skills. Ninty has released a statement suggesting its handheld outsold "more than all current-gen consoles combined".
It's seemingly including its Wii in those figures at 361,700, making it 500,000 out by our calculations – but hell, who are we to nitpick.
We'll be interested to see how the PSP Go affects these figures when it launches. Let us know what you think to the DS and DSi consoles below, and be sure to check out our hands on video with the PSP Go at E3 this year.
