What is it that Nintendo's trying to tell us? First the Wii Board and Wii Fit, now My Health Coach: Weight Management for the DS.
This latest assault on our beer swilling, kebab eating lives is designed to balance our diets and make us more active.
By adding a detachable pedometer to the DS's armoury it keeps tabs on daily activity. Take the pedometer out with you, slot it into the DS at the end of the day and let the software know what you've been munching on and it'll deliver its verdict.
Sadly it won't tell you how long you have left to live, Death Clock style, preferring to translate the results - diet improvements and all - into distance travelled.
Just round the corner to the chippy should be far enough for us.
