Nintendo is "big game" hunting

The Nintendo Wii may be producing sales figures Sony and Microsoft can only dream of dreaming about but hard core gamers still feel a tad underserved by its staple of Wiimote-waving fare.

But hold on to your hats, because President of Nintendo America, Mr Reggie Fils-Aime himself has been hinting of a "big game" on the way for the Holidays (that's Christmas to you and us – not your fortnight in Torremolinos).

He told GameTrailers that, "the gamers are going to be excited, and the expanded audience is going to be excited," by which we translate that it's going to be something both Ninty's new found gamers and the hard core can get their teeth into.

He didn't give any more details as to how that game might look, but with Smash Bros., Mario Kart and Wii Fit already on the way, it looks like it's going to be another good year for the Wii.
