I first broke the story that Nike+ will be coming to the iPhone and iPod Touch after a visit to their HQ back in April, and now it looks like the much awaited app is ready shoot out of the pipeline and into reality.
French website iPhon.fr has unearthed what it claims are iPhone screenshots of some new software that shows the system working in tandem with Google Maps over GPS, as well as displaying the much coveted ability to display running goals and targets over the air.
Despite understandable qualms among runners about taking a slightly bulky iPhone or Touch running, the wireless abilities of both (plus GPS on the iPhone) make a Nike+ app very exciting and potentially one of the best available in Apple's store.
We'll be trying to get official word from Apple and Nike about the mooted September release but in the meantime we'd suggest holding off from buying a Nano just for the Nike+ kit.
