Not more 3D...Don't be all Nelly Negative – the third dimension is the future. The whole TV industry couldn't be more excited about 3D if it combined with Smell-O-Vision. We've also got 3D gaming heading to the Xbox and PS3, while the Fujifilm W1 made digital 3D photography possible. And now Sharp has developed a 3D camera module for mobile phones.Great, two lenses to cleanI'm just going to ignore that and focus on what great news this is. In addition to the 3D capture – still and video, I might add – this module is capable of 720p hi-def. Even better, 3D video can be recorded in 720p – the Fujifilm W1 only manages VGA quality for vids. And the future is when? The modules will start rolling out in July, which means they should find their way into a handset or two by the end of the year. Sharp is also working on small 3D displays, so you'll be able to view the results on your mobile screen. Your next phone may well be a 3Dphone.
