Knowhow Movies launches subscription-free streaming

Currys and PC World present their answer to Lovefilm and Netflix with a catalogue that might actually be good

Currys and PC World are taking on Netflix and Lovefilm with a new on-demand streaming service for TV shows and films. But Knowhow Movies is taking a different approach to the big names: it’s subscription-free.

Instead you can use pre-purchased credit or a card to rent or buy titles. Prices are similar to Apple’s iTunes, and with the likes of Disney, Warner Bros and Momentum on board, the content should be decent.

Knowhow Movies for Mac and PC will launch on March 1, with TV, tablet and phone editions following in the next six months.
