Zune rumours have been flying lately. Just last week the prospect of a flash-based Zune cropped up again after a Microsoft rep apparently blabbed all to a writer from a US Zune site. All we've had officially from Bill Gates & Co, though, is that a pink Zune is on the way next month. Hardly enough to satisfy our gossip cravings. So this little snippet from the schedule of the Digital NARM expo caught our eye. Seems Zune's Director of Music Marketing, Christina Calio, will be giving a closing speech on 1 May, containing 'exciting updates on developments in Microsoft's new innovative device'.Now unless we've not been paying attention, bar the new pink Zune, there haven't been any exciting developments since the player was launched Stateside in November - so perhaps this is the time for Microsoft to surprise us all with some new feature announcements or even new hardware.Top of many people's wish lists will be the Flash-based Zune or the much rumoured 'thin' Zune 2.0 but we'll just settle a better implementation of Wi-Fi and podcast compatibility for now - oh, and a UK release date, please...
