The latest cavalcade of cameras is from SLR king Nikon, here to deliver a little of that photographic magic to its compact range of Coolpix snappers.Running the full gamut from budget to hi-spec, the list includes three new point and shoot L models, including the bargain-basement 6MP-toting L11. Two slimline additions are the near-identical 7.2MP S50 and S50C which will be turning their nose up at other retailers and marching exclusively onto Amazon and Dixons Group shelves (read Dixons, Curry's and PC World) respectively. We're also tempted by the all-metal S200 and S500 (pictured) which share an aluminium body and 7.1MP sensor. The higher-specced 500 gets a slightly wider 3x zoom lens which will pull back to a group-pleasing 35mm. It also snaffles the improved image stabilization found on its SLR cousins and manages a maximum 2000 ISO for low-light shooting. And last but by no means least on our magical Nikony tour is the all-black P5000 that that takes an interesting look at the bridge camera market with a 10MP sensor, 3.5x Zoom-Nikkor lens and full manual controls packed into a pocket pleasing ergonomic body.Expect full, simultaneous verdicts when we enlist our octopus reviewer...
