The news come straight out of the UAE, where a write up for a business mag points specifically to a new model coming out this summer. Apparently, Etisalat, the network which offers the iPhone 3G over there, will offer "the next version of the device" from June.
It could easily be a slip up, but add it to the fact that it'll be a year since Apple unveiled the iPhone 3G, and two years since the original hit the shelves in the US, and we could be onto a winner.
Other rumours on Apple Insider point to the mobile getting a major overhaul, at least on the inside, with faster processing and neat new apps.
Either way, expect something new and exciting now Toshiba has come to the party with the TG01.
