If all goes to plan, at around the same time as Apple launches its iPhone in the US, the first shipments of this iPhone killer (pictured) will be landing in stores here.Made by newcomers Neo, it had been slated for release next year, behind the tiny 808i music phone due in April and two other feature-packed phones, the Flip and the Curve. But now that Steve Jobs has moved the goal posts slightly, the Dubai-based phone-maker tells us it's decided to switch its schedule and get the Slide here on the double.Declaring ‘anything Apple can do I can do better’, the slippery handset is a ticklist of iPhone features. Full touchscreen display? Tick. 8GB on-board memory? Tick. Music and video? You betcha. And no measly GPRS for this phone: the Slide gets 3G as well as Wi-Fi, an SD card slot for extra storage, plus slide-out speakers.Neo admits that the Windows Mobile 5.0 interface doesn't quite match up to Apple's but if it hits its new launch date of June it'll be the only iPhone-esque option this side of the Atlantic for some months.
