MWC 2011 – Samsung Galaxy S II official

We knew it was coming, but now the Galaxy S successor is official

As well as launching the Galaxy Tab 10.1 at MWC 2011, Samsung has popped the lid on the Galaxy S II smartphone.

It's yet another Android 2.3 Gingerbread mobile, but it does have some stand-out features.

The screen is a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED, so we're hoping for a picture sharp enough to split our eyeballs. It also has an 8MP main camera and 2MP front-facer.

Despite that, the Samsung Galaxy S II is just 8.49mm thick, making it the thinnest smartphone ever. Get the full specs here.

Hands-on pics should be coming your way soon.
