The world awaits a desktop version of the diminutive Asus Eee PC, but while our backs were turned computing rival MSI went and sneaked out this tiny rival.

At 185x240mm The Titan is smaller than a sheet of A4 in width and length but, er, considerably 'thicker' at 70mm deep.

It manages to squeezes in a DVD burner, 250GB hard drive, and all the connectors you need, ready to install the monitor, keyboard and operating system of your choice.

With its 2GHz VIA C7 processor and 1GB of memory it won't be the speediest demon on earth but that should be just dandy for a spot of web browsing, media playing and word processing – especially if you load it with clean-living Linux.

And the price for this marvel of miniaturisation? A suitably tiny £235. Bargain.
