Motorola Motoluxe hits shelves today

Fancy a 4in Android smartphone with an 8MP snapper for less than £240? Motorola has you covered with its latest pocket offering

It may be slightly later than its previously touted end-of-February release date, but Motorola has finally announced that its Gingerbread-toting Motoluxe smartphone can be picked up from today for free, on a two year £21 per month contract or for £235 SIM-free from Clove.

The 800MHz-powered Motoluxe sports a 4in screen and will be an appealing choice for social butterflies on a budget, thanks to its 8MP camera and Moto's custom Social Graph feature. Its Moto Switch interface, which places your most used apps front and centre, will also come in handy for lazy gadgeteers who want to shave milliseconds off their screen prodding time.
