Motion-sensing PS3 controller to debut at E3?

To add to all the rumours about the PSP Go!, there's now word on the street that Sony is set to pull the lid off a Wiimote-esque motion sensing contro

Variety has squeezed the news out of a source that claims to have already got hands-on with a prototype of the device. It will apparently work pretty closely to a patent that reared its head around two years ago, and will be "much more accurate" than its Wii competitor.

It will do this by using LEDs and a small webcam to follow the movements of the device, and as this can read more complicated light signals it will be more precise in tracking your movements and speed, especially with forward and backward movements where the Wiimote falls down

Sony has so far refused to comment, but we'll be sure to get you all the news as it comes in.
