Sony’s first peripherals for the PS3 have been announced. US pricing for three peripherals has been made public. First up, the Sixaxis controller will be a wireless unit, thanks to Bluetooth connectivity, with a range of 20 metres and will suck juice from a USB connection to the PS3. It will be priced at US$50 (40 Euros). Next it’s the turn of a Blu-ray remote control to take full advantage of the console’s next-gen optical drive. The remote will cost US $25 (20 Euros). Finally, an adaptor will let you transfer your PS2 game saves to the PS3. It’ll cost $15 (12 Euros) when it hits the market. US gamers will get the console on 17 November, with the 20GB model costing $500 (395 Euros), and the 60GB version $600 (475 Euros). We’re sobbing into our withered gaming claws, since the UK isn’t due to sample PS3’s delights until March 2007. Shame.
