So, Nokia's making more digital music devices than Apple. Is this the end for the dedicated MP3 player? Has the mobile phone once again gobbled up a stand-alone device? Well, StormBlue's seen the way the compact camera's going and is fighting back – by flirting with the enemy. The A9+ with Bluetooth doesn't so much want to talk to your phone as take it to dinner and have its babies. As well as being able to swap music files wirelessly, it'll double as a Bluetooth headset. So when the phone rings up to 10 metres away, the music stops and you can answer the call, all without the tedium of reaching for your mobile. For storage, there's up to 4GB on board which can be doubled to up to 8GB via the handy SD card slot. And while it's touted as a music player first, the dinky device will also play video at a reasonable 20 frames per second on its 2-inch widescreen. Hardly a cinematic experience but better than a slap in the face – believe us, we tested.
