Microsoft Surface tablet pricing revealed
Microsoft wants to dethrone the Apple iPad, ordering up three to five million Surface slates for Q4
Microsoft has inadvertently let slip the pricing for its Surface tablet, slapping the details up on the Microsoft Store for all to see, only to hastily remove them.
If you can do without the Touch Cover – the bit that keeps the screen clean when in transit and also provides you with a physical keyboard – a 32GB Surface RT will set you back US$500 (the same as a 16GB Apple iPad). If you want 32GB and the Touch Cover – which we imagine you would – the price goes up to US$600, and for double the storage again to 64GB, your bank account will be dented to the tune of US$700.
