Microsoft couldn't let the launch of the third edition in the Halo series pass with just a mere plastic case to show for its programmers' toil. Instead it's going to be serving up Halo 3 in a trio of heavily crafted packages to match gamers' pockets/devotion.At the bog-standard tail end will be the 'mere' game itself – the 'Standard' offering. Barely enough to do the most eagerly awaited game of this year and last any justice. So, stepping things up a little, may we suggest the 'Limited Edition' version? Encased in a metal collector’s tin it comes with a special Halo fiction and art book and 'bonus disc' featuring the hi-def Making of Halo 3 movie. But kept behind the counter and wrapped in brown paper for the true Master Chief faithful, you can give a nod and knowing nose-tap to your friendly games retailer to secure the 'Legendary Edition'. Contained within its helmet case, freshly ripped from a Spartan soldier's head (pictured), is a second bonus disc to provide a further cinematic Halo fix.Better get that mind tank in gear to decide which you want/need – Halo 3's out later this year.
