Ever since I picked up a plastic guitar and strummed my maiden notes on the first Guitar Hero game I've dreamed of riffing along to Battery by Metallica. I thought it'd never happen. What would a big band like them need with a silly little computer game? Then One (and it's harder than granite solo) stumped me on GH3 and Activision announced an Aerosmith special edition (pictured). Could my dream be on the cusp of reality? In a word, yes. Well, nearly. Some chap wearing a suit in America found the game mentioned in a report by Activision. It said 'In fiscal 2009, we plan to publish Guitar Hero: On Tour for the NDS; Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, Guitar Hero: Metallica, and Guitar Hero IV.' 'Yeah!' I shout in celebration, in my best James Hetfield growl. Now the fiscal year runs until the end of March 2009 and considering we've already seen a trailer for Guitar Hero: World Tour (aka GH4) I'd be willing to bet the Metallica edition of the game will make use of the new drums. Perfect for practicing your Lars Ulrich impressions without having to be an insufferable idiot.
