Mac OS X Lion out later today

Yes, Apple has confirmed today is the day the Lion will be released from its cage

Mac OS X Lion will be launched by Apple today. It’s a relief to get confirmation from Apple at last – we’ve had lots of Lion rumours over the last few weeks, but now we can confirm that Apple’s chief financial officer Peter Oppenheimer has announced the new OS will be released as, in an Apple first, a download-only version. You can expect system-wide autosaving to back up all your apps while you work, as well as AirDrop to make transferring files across Macs easier. There’s even a chance the MacBook Air may be released today too. Fingers and toes crossed.
