The Best of Stuff show at Novotel London West in Hammersmith has kicked off in explosive fashion - there's the UK debut of the Xbox 360, Stuff's Cool list gadgets, dancing Nokia girls, the whole Stuff team to answer your questions (availability subject to pizza runs) and much more. So, if you haven't got your ticket for Saturday or Sunday, we suggest visiting our site with haste.
So, what's there to report? Lots, as you'd expect. Our first post will focus on one of the biggest stories of the show so far - Sky's showcase of its HD service.
Its stand is nothing if not grand. To reach the UK's first preview of the TV revolution, you must wind through a labyrinth of corridors, all lined with white fur, containing locked away HD boxes. The walk feels like a next-gen experience in itself.
The demo itself is frankly astounding. Across a selection of Sony LCDs, super-sharp images of Liverpool's European Cup final against AC Milan are shown, with the clarity even pulling into focus the beads of sweat on Steven Gerrard's forehead as the final penalty is missed. A selection of action shots from blockbusters such as Spiderman then show off HD's incredible depth, which is at least four times the resolution of current 'low def' broadcasts.
Of course, it's an experience that has to be appreciated at first-hand. So, if you want to see the future of telly for yourself, book a cab and get down to Hammersmith. We'll be waiting with a box of confetti. Or at least a helpful demeanour.
