Update: The Cookie's available now from Carphone Warrehouse for £160 on PAYG, including £10 O2 credit.
We brought you exclusive deets on the LG KP500 when we were kicking it with the Korean chaps in their back yard earlier this month. Well, now it's been given its official global release and Lg just couldn't resist giving it one of their terrible names.
Following the Viewty and the Renoir, the KP500 is now know as the Cookie. Yep, you read that right. The man with the big desk at LG HQ has decided to have a laugh and undermine what has the potential to bring touchscreen phones to the masses.
So, other than the interesting name change, what else can we expect? Well, you get a rather neat touchscreen, with an accelerometer, Bluetooth 2,1, 3P snapper, SD support to 8GB and an onscreen QWERTY. Not half bad for a phone that LG is touting as affordable.
Once again, price is being kept on the QT, but it will be yours to keep from Carphone Warehouse later this year. Or maybe you'd rather wait for LG's first proper stab at taking on the might of the iPhone?
