It's official – Leicester Square is now one giant hotspot. In its bountiful wisdom PR agency Four Communications has decided to make the famous site a Wi-Fi wonderland and has been busy installing wireless routers across the square. From tomorrow we'll be able to log-on and browse the Internet without paying a penny - all very reminiscent of Intel's 'open air office' PR stunt a few years ago (pictured). There's just the slight issue of having to share a connection with a million milling tourists, but 8mb lines and a fair use policy should stop any Wi-Fi hogs from leeching bandwidth. To sample the freebie connection just sniff out one of the several hotspots named Four’s Free Hotspot. No username or password is needed but sadly only web browser equipped kit will be able to log on at the splash page.Bang go our plans for free calls on our Belkin Skype phone.
