Kodak shows 7.1MP point-and-shoot

New cameras are raining down on us from the annual Photokina Show in Cologne. This one from Kodak caught our eye as a mighty bang for buck contender.

New cameras are raining down on us from the annual Photokina Show in Cologne. This one from Kodak caught our eye as a mighty bang for buck contender. A 10x optical zoom and 7.1megapixel sensor are the standout highlights. It's no svelte pocket buddy but instead follows the same form factor as several previous models. This one adds manual controls to the usual easy-as-pie point-and-shoot Kodak functionality. For the less adventurous there are 19 pre-set modes to cater for most photographic whims (though drunken party mode is significantly hampered by the lack of optical stabilisation on the lens). A 2-inch LCD completes a solid package that won't break the bank.
