Things are getting a little crowded in the 12megapixel VIP area. First came Sony, then Casio tagged along with Panasonic, and now Kodak is banging on the door with the Z1275 (pictured right). The 12MP shooter brings a 5x optical zoom to the mix in a pocket-sized package. Its fellow ZD710, also announced today, gets a 'mere' 7MP sensor but finds itself in the company of fellow compact super zoomers with a 10x optical zoom slapped on the front.Determined to cover all bases there are also four new M-series 'fashion' models joining team Kodak. First down the catwalk will be the bargain M753 (pictured left) in a range of hues with a bog standard 7MP, 3x optical zoom and 2.5in screen combo. The similarly multi-coloured M853 ups things to 8MP while the more demure M873 and M883 get all metal bods, 8MP sensors and, on the M883, a 3in screen. All six manage Digital Image Stabilisation (note, not the superior optical kind) and Kodak's nifty Perfect Touch picture enhancement.Catch them trickling out over the summer, starting with the M753 next month.EssentialsKodak Easyshare M753, M883, M853, M873, Z1275, ZD710Price: £100, £150, £120, £135, £170, £170On sale: July, September, rest AugustContact: KodakRelated stories:BenQ rolls out more digicam thinnessNew Panasonic Lumix thinks pinkPanasonic joins the 12 megapixel club
