This is the gadget-ridden new motor from our favourite big cat, Jaguar. Taking a jump away from the clean and friendly lines of Jaguars of old, this C-XF definitely looks like an all round meaner creature. The new model will first bare its teeth as a concept car at the Detroit Motor Show next week, although a road-going version will hit the streets in early 2008 as a successor to the current S-Type.Once inside, fire up the 300 horsepower V8 and a blue Tron-esque light snakes its way from the centre console, around the cockpit and meets behind the back seat – infinitely cooler than those neons you see on the underside of pimped up Honda Civics.Eighties cartoon, Bravestarr, appears to get a nod from the Jag designers with the inclusion of 'JaguarSense', an invisible system for opening the high-tech doors. Simply wave your hand over the door and it’ll open – very Obi-Wan Kenobi. In-car entertainment also gets the motion sensitive treatment, with a control screen that slides out when the driver’s moves his hand towards it. Coolest of all, it’s capable of showing two images at once; meaning whoever is riding shotgun can watch a DVD, while you check the sat-nav.All of that and this super-charged monster has a top whack of 155mph. With all those toys to play with, though, who needs to drive anywhere?
