Fresh from a run of London shows, a secret gig at Glastonbury and a server melting streamed show for From The Basement, The Dead Weather are set to bring their demonic blues to the virtual rock world. To coincide with the release of their debut album, Horehound, on Tuesday, three tracks from the super-group will be made available as downloadable content for Rock Band on Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii.

The pack will feature Hang You From The Heavens (see the video above), No Hassle Night and the Freudian stomp of Treat Me Like Your Mother. The super group, composed of Jack White of The White Stripes and The Raconteurs, Alison Mosshart of The Kills, Dean Fertita of Queens of the Stone Age and Jack Lawrence of The Raconteurs, is in good company. A raft of other downloadable content is being added at the same time.

Xbox 360 and PS3 owners will be able to grab three tracks from both Big Dipper and Judas Priest. Wii owners have an even bigger bounty to choose from with songs from Pixies, Foreigner, Spinal Tap, The Killers and (oh good Lord) Maroon 5.

The new Xbox 360 and Wii downloadable content will be available from July 14 while PS3 players will need to wait 48 hours until July 16. Will you be howling along with The Dead Weather or going hell for leather with Judas Priest?
