Transatlantic flights are about to get a lot shorter from next year – six airlines have announced they'll be installing iPod compatible seats for long haul journeys.Air France, Continental, Delta, Emirates, KLM and United will be the first to welcome Apple's player on board. It’s good news for those who’ve experienced the unit’s fabled battery problems as arm rests will get their own iPod docks for in-air charging. But what's really got our jet-lagged juices flowing is that content will also be streamed to seat-back displays. So no more rubbish in-flight movies with all the rude bits removed. Bet they'll still charge for those stupid headphone adaptors though.
