Ever considered paying twenty grand for an iPod nano? Thought not. But what if you get a free car in return?

The car in question, is the Mazda MX-5 Roadster Coupé. From 2007, Mazda is fitting all six models in the MX-5 range with iPod connectivity as standard. And, to celebrate the fact, they’re chucking in a free 2GB nano with every car sold. Okay, you got me on a technicality. It's not the car that's free, it's actually the nano.

In 2007, all six models will feature an iPod cable tucked away in the glove box. You, the driver, will then be able to operate it via controls mounted on the steering wheel. The only slight drawback is that the in-car display can’t show any track or artist information. I think I’ll survive, but only after a serous stint in rehab.
