There seems to be enough iPod docks to fill a whole exhibition hall at Macworld, but Altec Lansing has raised the bar with its new line-up of ‘Pod speakers.Amid the several thousand cheapo models on display, it’s aimed its range squarely at the high-end price bracket with, among others, this TFT-screened model (pictured) for video hungry iPodders. The inMotion iMV712 gets its own 8.5in display reminiscent of bedside tellies of old, and a built-in sub for extra audio beef.Even pricier is the wireless iM812 with a 100-foot range remote. But thrifty audiophiles aren't completely left out. The 'budget' iM600 has built in FM radio and a rechargeable battery for go-anywhere ghetto blasting.
