It had to happen soon. Yes, the first eager iPhone fans have begun camping outside Apple's flagship store in New York.First in line was this man, Greg Packer (pictured right), who arrived at 5am yesterday - a full 109 hours before iPhone officially goes on sale at 6pm on Friday. As you can see from the snap, he's already become something of a sidewalk celebrity with passers by.Just how he'll look come Friday for the press blitz is anyone's guess. We're hoping there's at least a can of deodorant down there with him.Picture credit: WhurleyEssentialsApple iPhonePrice: £TBA ($500, $600 in US)On sale: Q4 2007 (29th June in US)Contact: AppleRelated links:iPhone micrositeRelated stories:The Stuff iPhone timelineApple gives iPhone toursiPhone will be contract-only in UK
