Its UK pricing and pre-order details have already been announced, but what's the real cost of getting your mitts on a new iPhone 3G S on O2 on 19 June?
Well, if you're a new customer, then O2 will be offering their existing tariffs, with the 3G S 16GB costing up to £184.98, 32GB up to £274.23 depending on which option you plump for. There are free options of course, but that will mean signing yourself up for a 24-month contract. Ouch.
The bad news is that the tethering service means buying a bolt-on that will set you back £14.68 per month for 3GB and a whopping £29.36 per month for 10GB of data. Ouch again.
Existing O2 customers will be able to upgrade early, but there will be a charge attached to that. O2's Twitter feed (@O2) has stated that "The early upgrade cost is likely to be monthly cost x months left on your contract, but specifics may vary slightly".
Fans of picture messaging should also note that 1x MMS will cost the same as sending 4x text messages, so bear this in mind when you're sending those amusing pub snaps.
See the tariffs in full at the official O2 site.
