We knew it was coming, but now it seems that Nike will finally be adding iPhone compatibility to Nike+.
When iPod touch got in on the act last year, many iPhone users were a bit disappointed to be left out. But a keen-eyed Stuffer noticed that Italian website iSpazio has uncovered something in iTunes 8.2 (currently only available to developers) that seems to suggest that they won't be out of the loop for much longer.
Apparently iTunes 8.2 boasts a section dedicated to Nike+, with a "sensor" option to link up to any external sensors.
Even more interesting is that when you link up your iPhone, you get the option to create a Nike+ account, as well as see a history of your previous sessions.
Whether this means we'll be seeing a new iPhone pre-installed with Nike+, similarly to the second generation iPod touch, or a downloadable app with the software update – it's not clear. But fear not, we'll be keeping you updated with anything we hear, so keep checking back for the latest.
