While our friends in the States will be able to get their mitts on Apple’s iPad from this Saturday, rumours have started swirling that an international launch will happen on 24 April – just three weeks later.

Canadian website iPadinCanada.ca has had word that Apple Store staff across Canada have been told that 24 April is a blackout period, and no one will be allowed to take holiday on that day.

This apparently only happens for big launches – a category we’d think the iPad can fit safely in to.

Although this “blackout period” has only been noted in Canada so far, there’s a good chance Apple will launch the iPad in all regions outside of America at the same time, plus it fits inside the “before the end of April” international launch from Apple itself.

We’ll keep you updated with anything we hear, but in the meantime be sure to let us know if you’ll be buying the iPad below.
